Description	Kensington Library Chronology: County Library opens Kensington Park Branch in the home of the Caudron family (October 13, 1922). Branch moves to the home of Miss Eleanor J. Loudon (1925). Branch moves to Sulliger real estate office (1931). Branch moves to Arlington Fellowship House (1935). Branch moves into library room provided in the then new Arlington Avenue Community Church building (1948). Branch moves to larger quarters in the Arlington Avenue Community Center (1952). Branch expands into the adjacent Sunday school room (1957). Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors establishes County Service Area LIB-6 to finance construction of a library in Kensington (August 30, 1960). Richmond Elementary School District deeds 26,400 square feet of land for site for a new library in Kensington (January 3, 1962) Groundbreaking for the Kensington Branch Library (February 2, 1965). Dedication of Kensington Branch Library (September 19, 1965).
